Machias High School

Machias, Maine
Client: Town of Machias
Cost: $615,000
Completed: Fall 2009

The challenge with this school renovation was to give a major facelift to this small, 1950’s flat roofed building and bring it into a more appropriate modern day appeal. The town wanted a more functional building, and a school building they could be proud of again. Once the renovations were completed, the consensus was that we succeeded in those goals. The program for this renovation called for new pitched roofs over the entire building with more insulation, upgrades to all interior public spaces and several classrooms, the cafeteria, and corridors.
